GMS Band and Chorus Concerts
Winter Concert: December 18, 2019 at 6:30 pm. Performing students should arrive at 6 pm.
Spring Concert: May 20, 2020 at 6:30 pm. Performing students should arrive at 6 pm.
Required concert attire can be found in the band or chorus syllabus.
There are several opportunities available to 7th and 8th grade Band and Chorus students that would allow them a chance to grow as musicians and performers. Students should speak to their director as soon as possible to receive applications and music prior to auditions. Applications and fees must be given to the director before the due date in order to audition. Below are non-school related musical activities available to those 7th and 8th grade Band and Chorus students. Many are audition based and would require the student to perform alone in front of a panel of judges prior to selection. Should your band or chorus student get selected, first rehearsal dates are listed below.
State and County Chorus information:
Audition Date: Students are hand-selected by their school director to participate.
First Rehearsal: November 4, 2019 from 6-8:30 pm at Sussex Central High School
First Rehearsal if Selected: January 25, 2020 from 9-12 pm. Location is TBD.
